Kodak Kodacolor II type 120

Kodacolor II in format 120 was introduced in 1974 in the USA (1975 in the UK) and discontinued in 1983. The roll was processed by C-41 process, but due to severe deterioration it could only be scanned in monochrome. I am wondering if developing it in black and white chemistry would have yielded better results.

A similar roll of Kodacolor II was processed in October 2021 with much more success.
